Making Slime!

Hello everyone! I haven't done Creative Thursday in such a long time... but I finally have something to post!

You might have noticed that one of the biggest internet crazes right now is slime. My social medias are full of it to be honest and it made me want to try it out for myself.
I haven't seen any in the shops at all so I thought I could make it instead!
But sadly I couldn't find a recipe that had ingredients I had in at home.

Luckily, I was looking on Instagram and I found an account called @thetropicalsquish which is full of recipes for making your own slime which is so handy!
I managed to find one that used glue and contact lens solution. I will put the recipe down below so you can have a go yourself.

How to make slime:

- Liquid Glue
- Baking Soda (bicarbonate of soda)
- Foam soap
- Food colouring or paint (optional)
- Contact lens solution (containing boric acid)

1. Put as much glue as you want in a large bowl and add 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda and mix until dissolved. If you want to add colour this is when you need to do it.

2. Add three squirts of foam soap (I didn't have any foam soap so I just shook up some face wash with water to create a foam)

3. Slowly add drops of the lens solution until it comes away from the sides of the bowl. Then knead.

I made my slime blue and added glitter, I am very happy with my result.

Thanks for reading!

As I said *all credit goes to @thetropicalsquish on Instagram* the recipe is hers, I just put it on here so it was easy to follow!
